He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Edward and Myrtle May Reed; his siblings, Amelia "Dolly" Thomeczek, Helen Hayes Agnello, Dr. Martha Reed, Sarah Reed, Della Reed, Eugene "Pete" Reed, Don Reed, Franklin "Frank" Reed and James Reed; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Reed, Waltraud "Trudy" Reed, Norbert Thomeczek, George Hayes and Salvatore Agnello.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Kim Weitl, Lisa Gamble (Jim) of Voorhees, NJ, Robert John Reed, Valle Lake, Patrick Reed (Diane) and Mary Nicole "Nikki" Copeland (Shawn) of Alton, IL; his grandchildren, Lindsey Baker (Ryan), David Gamble, Jillian Coffey (Jesse), Ryan Gamble (Jackie) and Jordan Reed; his children, Ryder Copeland, Lydia Copeland and Brandon Rendon (Laura); his great grandchildren, Callan Coffey, Carter Reed and Carianna Rendon; his siblings, Marcella Luechtefeld, Glenco, Mary Jane Thebeau (Lloyd), David Reed (Janet), Dr. Leslie Reed (Mary Beth) and Roger Reed; and his sisters-in-law, Liz Reed Hillsboro and Linda Bauman Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Chapel (220 N Main St, De Soto, MO 63020).
