He was predeceased by: his sons, Larry Whitter and Rick Whitter; his parents, Stella Mae Whitter (Pashia) and Juyel Whitter; and his siblings, Johnny, Dale Whitter, Rosie Byers, Ruby Byers and Donna Tidwell.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Whitter (Cardwell); his children, Mark Whitter (Carla) of Valle Mines, Sheryl Burroughs of Converse, IN, Pam Osia (Lindell) of De Soto and Patricia LaRose (Louis) of De Soto; and his sisters, Jane Owens and Barbara Lewis (Russell) of De Soto.
