He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Coleman and Clara Coleman; his wife Ruby E. Coleman; his son Mitch Coleman; and his brothers-in-law, Wyman Richardson and Roger Cozart.

He is survived by: his sons, Mark Coleman (Laura) of Elizabeth, CO and Mike Coleman (Jackie); his daughter-in-law Kim Coleman; his sisters, Marilyn Richardson and Alice Cozart; his grandchildren, Greg Coleman (Kim), Scott Coleman (Stephanie), Jessica Maynes (Derek), Paul Coleman (Tiffany), Mark Coleman (Annie), Casey Healey (Westly) and Tyler Coleman (Damiana); and his great grandchildren, Lillian, Carlea, Sawyer, Akira, Ahlli, Bella Dea, Brecken, Josephine, Samantha, Nikyla, Taylin, Rayleida, Nash and Nora.
