She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carter and Clara Mae Carter; her husband Donald Blanks; her grandchild Germine Beasley; and her siblings, Vivian Redmond, Charles Carter, Adolph Carter and Levi Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Rodgers, Djuna Jones of Lee's Summit, MO and Glenda Haynes Blanks; her stepdaughter Nicole Haynes Carpenter; her grandchildren, Jamie Rodgers, Jewl Allen, Ford Sanders, Alexis Sanders, Dazion Jones and Dion Jones; her great grandchildren, Lamont Allen, Diahvian Allen and Jajuan Welch; her sister Cora Franklin; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Bingham and Kenneth Dow.
