Marilyn May Wantland Irwin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn May Wantland Irwin (De Soto, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 23, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay T. Wantland and Janet Wantland; her husband Wallace Irwin; her son Monte Irwin; her brothers, Charles Wantland and Paul Wantland; and her siblings-in-law, Lucy Wantland and John Ives.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Irwin (Stephen Deaton) and Monica Irwin (Justin Pouliezos); her grandchildren, Alex Irwin (Sara) of Knoxville, TN, Katherine Irwin, Alexis Yockel and Arnold; and her sister Marjory Ives. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home (220 N Main St, DeSoto, MO 63020). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (200 Boyd St, DeSoto, MO 63020).
