He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Brown and Carolyn Brown; his wife Vickie Brown; and his sister Roxanna Zehnle. He is survived by: his children, Kent A. Brown II, De Soto, Carla Beck (Charles "Andy"), Roxie Heberlie and Kristy Brown; his grandchildren, Marissa Phegley (Taylor), Braden Brown, Hannah Lashley (Justin) and Jordan Heberlie; his great grandchildren, Aria and Noah; and his brothers, Loyd "Ed" Brown of Brownsville, TX, George "Bob" Brown and David Brown.
