He is survived by: his wife Constance Marie "Connie" Nickelson; his daughters, Suzanne Elizabeth Nickelson of De Soto, Missouri., Amanda Jane Emmons (Jesse) of De Soto, Missouri. and Ashley Marie Nickelson of Hillsboro, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Kent Lawrence Emmons of De Soto, Missouri. and Sadie Marie Emmons of De Soto, Missouri.; his siblings, Mike Nickelson of Bismarck, Missouri., Glen Nickelson (Cheryl) of Cadet, Missouri., Randy Nickelson (La Fawn) of Cadet, Missouri., Patricia Davis (Bill) of Bourbon, Missouri., Curt Nickelson of Cadet, Missouri., Tammy Nickelson of Cadet, Missouri. and Joyce Haarmann; his sister-in-law Sandy Nickelson; and his close friend Richard Tucker.
