He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver John "Jim" and Cecilia Claire "Sis" Brod; his wife Jeanenne Ellen Brod; his son Alan Brod; and his brother David Brod.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cindi Dickinson (George), Peggy Day (Richard "Dickie") and Betty Brod; his grandchildren, Troy Dickinson, Matthew Dickinson, Rob Day, April Sechrest, Mary Brod, Jonathan Brod, Amber Brod, Darian Dirschuweit, Patra Dirschuweit and Kaig Dirschuweit; his great grandchildren, Hunter Sechrest, Luisa Isidro, Mathew Brod, Charlotte Nettles, Henry Cannon, Sophia Cannon and Frances Ward; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, James Ward, III, Ephraim Ward, Illonna Ward and Gabriel Ward.
