He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Marie and Russell Love, Sr.; his wife Joan Love; his sister Lela Ogle (Gene); and his brother-in-law Jerry Eisenhauer.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Welker (Ken), Julie Bergstrom (Denny) of Leavenworth, KS, Sam Cooper (Donna) and David Cooper; his grandchildren, Jennifer Welker, Tyler Welker, Nathan Launius (Kayla), Danielle Summers (Thomas), Joe Cooper, Katie Moran, Randy Cooper (Anna), Scott Johnson and Matthew Helms; and his siblings, Joyce Eisenhauer and Russell Love Jr. (Cindy). He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
