She was predeceased by: her parents, James S. Acord and Ellen Maxine Acord. She is survived by: her husband Mark Akins; her sons, James Akins (Stephanie) and Jordan Akins (Tamara); her grandchildren, Adilynn Grace and Kason; and her sisters, Michele Ahlers (Tim) and Marleisa Amsden (Gabe).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (2000 Grace Way, DeSoto, MO 63020).
