He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Burgess and Wanda Burgess; and his brother-in-law Buddy Oneal. He is survived by: his wife Una Catherine Burgess; his son Damon Burgess (Melissa); his grandsons, Sean Burgess and Lucas Burgess; and his siblings, Gail Oneal, Ricky Burgess (Alicia), Angela Seah (Austin) and David Burgess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the DeSoto Christian Church (4151 Fountain City Rd, De Soto, MO 63020).
