He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Bowles (Doug) and Carol Stengel of De Soto, MO; and his brother Byron Byers (Kim) of Festus, MO. He is also survived by Four Grand Children.

Don was one of the first persons I met when I came into the music circle here in the DeSoto area and he showed a kindness to others, that couldn't be ignored. I am so happy that I had the privilege of doing music with him a few times and just meeting him in our circle of friends and sharing greetings. He will be missed. May God bless and comfort his family.”
