He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Edwards and Ida M. Edwards; and his siblings, Louise Ray, Marjorie Mann and Elbert Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Edwards; his children, Cheryl Helms (Sid), Nancy Syring (Randy) of Pheonix, AZ, David Edwards, Jr. (Angie) and De Soto; his grandchildren, Jennifer Marshall, Christina Wagner, Brian Friedman, Sarah Olivas, Joshua Edwards, Jeremy Edwards and Jacob Edwards; and his siblings, Josephine Martin and Robert Edwards. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchildren.
