He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew J. Agers and Alice E. Agers; and his siblings, Jack Agers, Lloyd Agers and Kelly Agers.

He is survived by: his children, Heather Hoisington (Jamie) of De Soto and Andrew Agers (Carol) of De Soto; his grandchildren, Madison, Jaxson, Tyler, Liam, Lyla and Parker; his brother Charles Agers (June) of De Soto; and his sister-in-law Pamela Agers of Festus.
