He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Spruell and Goldie Marie Spruell (McDowell); his wife Hazel Marie Spruell; his children, David Berry, Buddy Berry and Rebecca Spruell Lockwood; and his siblings, Vernon, Emery, Harlie, Earl, Richard, Johnnie and Ruby Spruell.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy Spruell (Kathy) of Arnold, MO, Jim Spruell (Patty) of Leadwood, MO, Paul Spruell of Richwoods, MO, Tony Spruell of Festus, MO and Debra Rigdon (P'Nut) of De Soto, MO. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
