He was predeceased by: his parents, William James and Margaret Eunice Hughes (Hughes); and his siblings, Morgan Gladwyn Hughes and Margaret Revah Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hughes; and his children, Douglas Hughes (Laura) of Dawn, Morgan Mark Hughes (Diana) of Angleton, Arthur Hughes of Dawn, Alice Hughes Puett (Dennis Lykins) of St. Joseph and Marjorie Hughes (Rick Yount) of Holt. He is also survived by grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
