He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Leroy Abbott Sr. and Betty Lorene Myers Abbott; and his siblings, Alfred Abbott, Claudia Abbott Abernathy and Mary Abbott.
He is survived by: his wife Esther McIntyer; his children, Sheila Edwards of Dexter, Sherry Grimm of Walkersville, Michael Abbott (Shelly) of Davisville, Ronda Young (Kenny) of Dexter and Paula McCoy (Danny) of Stanley; his sister Elizabeth Southard (Charles) of Bernie, Missouri; and his friends, John, Nancy Hagey, Walter and Shirley Westrup. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
