He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Jean Schlag; his daughters, Debbie Ley (Chris) and Denice Hurt (Steve); his grandchildren, Meredith Stone (Trent), Mike Hurt (Kate), Robbie Ley, Missy Hawkins (Justin) and Kristen Green (Josh); his great grandchildren, Brock, Addison, Lilly, Greer, Lou, Henry and Vivian; and his siblings, Sue Risner (late Tony) and Darwin Schlag, Jr. (late Polly Lou).
