He was predeceased by: his parents, William Statler (Ray) and Lonneta Statler (Boxdorfer). He is survived by: his children, Jan Jeanis Wrone (David), Jeffrey Statler (Sherry) and Kerry Statler (Jill); his grandchildren, Audrey McCarty (Sam), Hannah Newman (Matthew), Cole Jeanis, Luke Statler, Aaron Statler and Dakota Statler; his great grandchildren, Olivia McCarty, Henry McCarty, Parker Newman and Vivian Newman; and his sisters, Velda Haertling (Gene) and Violet Kurtz (Michael). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
