He was predeceased by: his aunts and uncles, Thomas Owens, Ronnie and John. He is survived by: his parents, Richard Owens and Maureen Owens (Nee Downey); his sister Colleen Koncki (Tim); his brother-in-law Michael Owens; his nephews, Zach and Adam; his niece Emily Koncki; and his aunts, Bonnie (Nee Bonstell), Donna Seaton (Nee Downey) and Joan Lorson (Nee Downey).
