He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Hughes and Viola Hughes (Worley); his former wife Pauline Hughes (Mincher); his grandson Stevie Hughes; his siblings, Edward S., Bernie E., Ervin, Jim, Carl Hughes, Patsy Hughes and Bonnie Litty-Stephens; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Palmer, Jim Powers and Jack Cavanaugh.
He is survived by: his former wife Pauline Mincher; his wife Lisa Marchi (Marchi) of Cuba; his sons, Phil Hughes (Denise) of Cuba, Steve Hughes of Bourbon, Ron Hughes (Tracey) of Cuba and Jason Happle of Cuba; his grandson Elias Happle of Cuba; his siblings, Arthur Hughes (Dixie) of Cuba, Joe Hughes (Jackie) of Cuba, Fern Powers of St. Louis, Gloria Cavanaugh of Sullivan and Barb Palmer of Cuba; and his sister-in-law Eileen Hughes of Cuba. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to a College Fund for Elias Happle, c/o Lisa Hughes.
