He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Buettner and Ernestine Buettner; his daughters, Karen Ann Knight and Rebecca R. Buettner; his brother David Buettner; and his brothers-in-law, Barrett "Barry" Houseman, Ted Parrott and Nick Furr.
He is survived by: his spouse Mary Buettner; his children, Linda Faye (Allen Pitts) of Cook Station and Larry R., Jr.; his wife Darla Buettner of Steelville; his grandchildren, Amber Furr of Jefferson City, Shawn (Cheyenne Pitts) of Cook Station, Heather (Mike Riley) of Steelville, Nick Buettner of Steelville, Dawn Hayes of St. Louis and April Knight of Missouri; his sister Caroline Houseman of Cuba; and his sister-in-law Kathy Buettner of Norwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics Troop I in Larry's memory.
