It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Proffer of Cuba, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Wilson Proffer and Lucille Proffer; his grandparents, Kendall, Elizabeth Proffer, Earl and Mabel Abney; his parents-in-law, George Sr. and Bertha Adams; his grandfather-in-law Sylvia Mounce; his brothers-in-law, Butch Kirkendall and Doug Hutson; his grandson Elijah Williams; his niece Crystal Proffer; and his nephew Scottie Kirkendall.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Proffer of Cuba, MO; his children, Dustin Adams (Melissa Lands) of Cuba, MO, Stevie Adams of St. Joe, MO and Heather Hill (Michael) of Cuba, MO; his siblings, Jackie Kirkendall, Sharon Langdon, Barbara Ort of Florissant, MO, JoAnn Moore of O'Fallon, MO, Karen Hiebenstriet (Paul) of Cuba, MO, Charles "Chuck" Proffer of Cuba, MO, David "Mike" Proffer (Lisa) of Cuba, MO, Lisa Copling of Cuba, MO and Kimberly Dreyer (Carlin) of St. Louis, MO; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Brickey (Eddie) of Cuba, MO, Mary Adams of Cuba, MO and Buddy Adams (Sandra) of Steelville, MO; his nieces, Chelsea of Cuba, MO and Abigail Palmer of Cuba, MO; and his grandchildren, Nevaeh Gilbert, Gage Adams, Lexi Proffer, Journee Nichols, Tessa Hayes, Kayden Williams, Corbin Williams, Regan Nichols and Hailee Adams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
