With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene A. Smith of Cuba, Missouri, born in Gillespie, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Smith and Odelia G. Smith (Heppermann); his wife Beverly A. Smith (Larkin); and his brothers, Eldon and Gary Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Skidmore of High Ridge and Kenneth Skidmore (Karen) of High Ridge; and his grandchildren, Alecia Johannes-Rhodes (Tim) of Oakville, Misty Woolley (Eric) of Sullivan, Jeffrey Penfold of Carrollton, Briana Kaup-Breeden (Andrew) of High Ridge and Ryan Limberg of Leasburg.
