He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank Skaggs and Altha Skaggs; his wife Margaret Skaggs; his siblings, Glenwood Skaggs, Harold Skaggs, Beulah Coffman, Marie Pryor and June Pittman; his siblings-in-law, Lewis Valley, Andrew Valley, Marvin Valley, Phillip Stotler, Esther Curtis, Nadine Hodges, Dorothy Walker, Irene Reed, Bermida Sweeney, Audrey Cortor and Betty Howard; and his son-in-law Roy Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Carroll "Joe" Skaggs (Angela) of Leasburg, MO, Esther Schroeder of Bland, MO, Carl Ray Skaggs of Bourbon, MO and Ronnie Dean Skaggs of Bourbon, MO; and his brothers-in-law, Don Pittman of Madrid, OK and Melvin Valley (Jane). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hutson Funeral Home (407 S Franklin St, Cuba, MO 65453). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
