It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester Shelton of Crocker, Missouri, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riley and Mary Elizabeth Long Shelton; and his siblings, Kenneth, Danny, Wilbert, Green Berry, Homer, Birley Shelton, Pearl Riggen, Jewell Hannah and Veda Wrinkle.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Shelton; his children, Darrel Shelton of Waynesville, MO, Barbara Stewart (Stan) of Heath, TX, Brenda York (Randy) of Richland, MO and Julie Whittle (Gene) of Crocker, MO; his sister Lois Dickey of Lamar, MO; his grandchildren, Bethany McMahan, Rachel Alana Newman, Luke Stewart, Karson York, Dalton and Fawn Whittle; and his great grandchildren, Courtney, Syndey McMahan, Emmi, Sean and Visa Newman. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to St. John – Swede Cemetery or to the Swedeborg Christian Church.
