He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Ed and Bertha Alice Hagler Stevens; his son Bobby Lynn Carver; and his siblings, Rosa Lee Stevens, Novella Robertson, Doris Mae Blair, Patty A. "Patsy" Ayers, Cecil L. Stevens, Max R. Stevens and Bobby Gene Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Don Stevens of Modesto, Ricky Carver of Guymon, Oklahoma and Darla Guerra (James) of Little Elm, Texas; and his sister Mildred Goddard of Tucson, Arizona. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
