He is survived by: his children, McKenzie Lee Moreland (Bryan Beckwith) and Mason Dwayne Moreland (Christine Stellwagen); his parents, Dewayne Moreland and Linda Moreland (Page) of Crane; his pet Moose; his uncle Mike; his wife Kellie Dawn Calhoun Moreland; his sibling Leslie Moreland Lingenfelser (Bill); his nieces and nephews, Hunter Hein, Avery Lingenfelser and Caden Lingenfelser of Willard; his brother Jeremy Moreland (Lauren); his nieces and nephews, Madison, Maylnn and Kenlee of Crane; his grandmother Betty Page of Springfield; his sister-in-law Stacie Calhoun Bilyeu; his nephew Joel; his niece Ruby Bilyeu; and his parents-in-law, Connie Calhoun Hopper and Ken Hopper. He is also survived by other family members and friends.

In 2018, Russ was unanimously selected as the Superintendent of Schools in Monett, where he continued his noble efforts, and, of late, admirably dealt with the unrelenting rigors brought on by the pandemic.
