He was also cherished by four grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

“One day 'Geb asked me if he ought to marry this girl he knows. Is she nice, I asked? Oh yes and pretty too. I said you need to grab her up before somebody else does. That was in the Aft IC room on the USS Enterprise. A couple of months later we headed to Reno where he and Ina were married at city hall. We still had time on the parking meter when we came out!
