He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Rice and Ethel Rice; and his brother Nelson Rice. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Gowen (Steve) and John Rice (Rebecca); his great grandchild Cassidy Paisley-Elich (Shayne); his wife Dorothy A. Bartel; his children, Tricia and Cassidy; his sister-in-law Jane (Lynn Snow); and his grandchildren, Paris Foster (Brian), Janet, Sara, Megan McFall, Joshua Rice (Caitlyn), Jacob Rice (Leota), Jeremy and Mindi Rice.
