He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steele and Joan Logan Steele; and his siblings, Don, Jack, Eddie and Janice Barton.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Mackenzie Steele (Schanda) of West Plains, Derek Roof of Galena, Dalton Steele of Crane, Whitney Hoffman (Gary) of Crane and Brittany Barnett (Tommy) of Republic, Missouri; and his siblings, Kay Bequette of Marionville and Harold Steele (Leann) of Crane. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
