She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lizar and Lida Lizar (Marsh); her husband Frank Gates; and her stepmother Pearl. She is survived by: her son Dennis (Sharon); her siblings, Eva Powell, Iva Zemmes, Mildred Cox and Raymond Lizar; her stepsister Juanita Stubbs; her grandsons, Jeff (Chrystal) of St. Joseph and Phillip (Edita) of Murrells Inlet; her great grandchildren, Josiah Gates (Chelsie) and Elora Gates; and her great great grandchild Julian Iver.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Presbyterian Children's Home or the Mound City Senior Center are suggested.
