He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Thomas Sr. and Wilma Ruth Potts (Wright); and his brothers, Keith Edwin, Willis Ray and Herman LeRoy Potts (Mary Jane).

He is survived by: his brothers, Ronald Dean and Ronnie Potts of Clarinda. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, other family and many friends.
