With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma Kathryn Brown of Cowgill, Missouri, who passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Velma Kathryn may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Brown and Nellie Brown (Smith); her brother Wayne Brown (Debbie); and her half-siblings, Russell Light and Elizabeth Corum.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jesse Brown of Cowgill and Audery Grover (Greg) of Wellsville, KS. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thurman Funeral Home (507 E Main St, Richmond, MO 64085). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pilot Knob Cemetery.
