Ellen Mary Halvorson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Mary Halvorson of Cowgill, Missouri, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Levitt and Eliza Levitt (Bates); her husband Alfred; her siblings, Bill (Faye Levitt), Norman (Kathleen Levitt), Alvin (Mable Levitt) and Jean; her brother-in-law John Cornish; and her grandson-in-law Ceddrick Newsome.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Hicks (Darren) of Cowgill and Neil Halvorson of Cowgill; her grandchildren, Braya Qualman (Daniel) of Lawson, Brenna Newsome of Excelsior Springs and Brett Hicks of Cowgill; her great grandchildren, Liam Hennager, Mordecai Qualman, Ryla Hennager and Silas Newsome; her sister-in-law June Halvorson Evans; and her granddaughter Ambrielle Hennager. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Currently a resident at Valley Manor, her birthday celebrations had to be put on hold due to the precautionary measures nursing homes are taking out of risk of the coronavirus.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Lori Hicks to purchase books for Grammy's great-grandchildren's school Libraries in her memory, in care of the funeral home.
