He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Church; his spouse Gayle Rae Vehige (Broxon); his children, Kathy Lause (John), John Vehige (Kris), Teresa Karvis, Ann Mayer (Mark), Linda Berger (Brian), Ted Vehige (Heather) and Joyce Grana (Joe); and his sister Viola Vogt (William).

Memorial donations are preferred to the Humane Society of Missouri.
