He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Day and Mabel Day (Whitehead); his son Doug Day; and his nephew Bobby Everett. He is survived by: his daughter Debi Dill (Marty); his grandchildren, Andy Dill (Shelly), Charley (Daniel Kallman), Jake Dill (Lisa) and Laura Wyckoff (Eric); his brother Don Day (Bobbi Sue); his brother-in-law Steve Hall (Linda); and his nephews, Johnny Everett (Kathy) and R. C. Day. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
