Melvin Bockelman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Bockelman of Concordia, Missouri, who passed away on December 30, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bockelman and Hulda Uppendahl Bockelman; his wife Harriet; his daughter Diane; his great grandchild Skylar; and his siblings, Lavonna, Verna, Qunita, Lorenz, Markie and Louis.
He is survived by: his sons, Mel Bockelman Jr. (Rebecca) of Overland Park, KS and Ron Bockelman (Becky) of Olathe, KS; and his sister Naomi Foster of Warsaw, MO. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (401 S Main St, Concordia, MO 64020). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peters Cemetery.
