He was predeceased by: his sons, Jerome A. Griggs and Joseph M. Griggs, Jr.; and his grandson Michael Lee Griggs. He is survived by: his children, Tina Bredehoeft (Stephen) of Concordia, Jeffrey Griggs of Sweet Springs, Kimberly Eason (Gregory) of Bowling Green and Andrew Griggs of Warrensburg; his sister Margaret Griggs of St. Louis; his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Sadler of Garland, TX; and his wife Kathy. He is also survived by 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
