He is survived by: his parents, Elmer James and Hattie Mae Gilkey (Booker); his daughters, Donna Faught (Steve) of Higginsville, Bonnie Gilkey of Concordia, Connie Douglas of Cook Station and Nancy Gilkey of Concordia; and his siblings, George "Mac" Gilkey of Higginsville, Juanita Sue Capps of Higginsville and Sarah Phee of Independence. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
