George Chapman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Chapman of Columbia, Missouri, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Chapman and Emily Chapman (Smith); his former wife Lois C. Gibb; his son Don Chapman; his great grandchild Caleb Brodersen; and his siblings, Worthy Danner (Dillard), Benson Chapman (Maxine) and Mary Tull (Leo).
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean (Davis); his children, Jacque McGee (Mark), Barbara Brodersen (Gary) and Ron Chapman (Beth); his stepdaughter Kathy Beahm (Ed); his grandchildren, Michael McGee (Natalie), John McGee (Jisha), Scott Brodersen (Silva), Kevin Brodersen (Amber), Heather Figueiredo (Phil), Heidi Crouch (Nathan) and Erica Chapman-Hall; his stepgranddaughters, Rachelle Pereira (Antony) and Megan McKay (Sean); his great grandchildren, Devin, Ella, Olivia, Alexa, Blaine, Dylan, Ashton, Parker, Jackson, Addison, Josh and Jaelyn; his stepgrandchildren, Sofia, Liesl, Dylan and Tyler; and his great great grandchildren, Charlotte and Noah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the College Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1100 College Park Dr, Columbia, MO 65203). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the College Park SDA Church Building Fund.
