Betty Sue Wims Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Sue Wims of Columbia, Missouri, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil T. Delaney and A. Josephine Delaney (Dye); her siblings, John Joseph "Jack" Delaney and Mary Jolene (Delaney); and her husband Larry Jack Wims.
She is survived by: her siblings, Long, Traci Ann (Delaney) and Hill; her child Shelly Lynn (Wims); and her grandchildren, Ashely Nicole Wims of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kaden Bradley Wims of Otsego, Minnesota, Delaney James Mullins and Tinsley Lauren Mullins of Nashville, Tennessee.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Additionally, when the COVID-19 pandemic was in full force and personal protection equipment (PPE) supplies were at their highest demand, at the age of 76, Betty sewed well over 1, 000 cloth masks for first-responder service workers.
