She was predeceased by: her husband Dorsey Machir Bass; her parents, Col. John Hinton and Betty Fitts Hinton; and her siblings, Col. John Hinton and Nancy Hinton Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Bass Hall, Martha Bass Abernethy, Dorsey Machir Bass (Katherine), Sarah Bass Witkowski (Doug) and Nancy Hinton Bass; and her grandchildren, Svea Ann Hall, Geoffrey Peterson Hall (Beverly), Bettina Hall Johnson (Austin), Sara Katherine Woodson Abernethy (Christopher Borreson), Patricia Barkley Bass, Martha Bass Moss (Sophie), Dorsey Bass III, Sarah Witkowski (Daniel Regueira) and Douglas Dorsey Witkowski. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Columbia Cemetery (30 E Broadway, Columbia, MO 65203).
