She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Bockelman and Hulda Bockelman (Heimsoth); her husband Bud (C. C. Gerken Jr.); her siblings-in-law, Bob Miller, Ralph Stark, Kathy Bockelman and Anna May Stark; and her nephew Randy Stark.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pat Vansell (Ed) of Van Buren, AR and Judy Smith (Todd) of Sedalia; her siblings, Marvin Bockelman of Cole Camp, Fay Miller of Cole Camp and LaVerne Mills of Peculiar, MO; her grandchildren, Christy Barnett, Kelly Moore, Eddie Vansell, Haylea Heimsoth, Chelsea Smith and Drew Smith; and her brother-in-law Stuart Mills of Peculiar, MO.. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
