She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred C. Heisterberg and Clara K. Heisterberg (Meier); her husband Arnold J. E. Steffens; her son-in-law Darrel Ehlers; her siblings, Erna Heisterberg, Esther Worden (Charles), Thelma Brockman (Harold), Helen Bauer (Edward), Olaf Heisterberg (Paula) and Marcus Heisterberg; and her sisters-in-law, Mildred Steffens and Idella Heisterberg.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Steffens (Karen) of Overland Park, Kansas, Marlene Ehlers of Cole Camp and Elaine Froeschle (Caryl) of Lee's Summit; her grandchildren, Leesa Bichsel (Brian), Deloris Reed (Chad), Lori Swopes (Travis), Daren Froeschle (Brittany), Michelle Steffens, Kalyn Froeschle and Branden Ehlers (Danielle); her great grandchildren, Connor, Caden Bichsel, Brayden, Ethan Reed, Paige, Reese Swopes, Zach, Maddy, Kaylee Froeschle, Charley Ann Steffens and Brynn Ehlers; her brothers, Leonard and Leroy Heisterberg; and her parents-in-law, Edna Heisterberg, Harold, Mary Ann Steffens and Delbert Steffens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in care of the Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, Missouri 65325.
