He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter T. Thompson and Clara Thompson (Hase); his sisters, Anna Lou Einsel and Marjorie Overocker; his wife Nancy Hardesty of Excelsior Springs; and his grandchildren, Amy Fairchild (Brian), Andrea Rand (Tom), Leah Kelly (Chris), Lindsay Flynn (Braedon), Allison Lewis (Justin), Ross Thompson (Candice), Ryan Thompson (Jennifer) and Lucy Thompson. He was also cherished by 17 great grandchildren.
