He was predeceased by: his parents, William James (Buster) and Ruby May Witherspoon; his siblings, Louella Blanche Witherspoon and Ricky Wayne Witherspoon; and his brother-in-law Junior Shockley.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Witherspoon (Gina Witherspoon) of Garnett, KS and Alaina Witherspoon of Clinton, MO; his grandchildren, Brook Witherspoon of Clinton, MO, Madeline Witherspoon of Nevada, MO, Reese, Reagan and Chance Witherspoon of Garnett, KS; his great grandchildren, Manaia, Huxlee, Coiyer and Rhett; and his siblings, Jackie Shockley of Clinton, MO, Sandy Morrison of Atchison, KS, Deborah (Jack Anspaugh) of Clinton, MO and Jerry (Dee Witherspoon) of Clinton, MO. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home (314 W Jefferson St, Clinton, MO 64735). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Clinton High School Band Booster Club and may be left in care of the funeral home.
