He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Russell Ward and Grace Ward (Olsen); and his sister Vera "Stormy" Ward. He is survived by: his children, Scott Ward (Nikki) of Versailles, MO and LeAnn Ward of Parkville, MO; his grandchildren, Michael Harris of Chicago, IL, Blake Ward (Morgan) of Garden City, MO, Danielle Ward of Clinton, MO, Mikaela Hill (Cody) of Versailles, MO, Charles Wilbers (Gabriel) of Jefferson City, MO, Cole Wilbers of Wardsville, MO and Remington Ward of Versailles, MO; his great grandchildren, Layne Ward, Elaina Carver, Kinsley Carver, Lucy Carver and Paisley Hill; his friend Matt Ragan; and his pet Bud.

He was a very giving man, donating to numerous charities and fundraisers.
