He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Simmons and Beulah Simmons (Foster); and his sister-in-law Joan Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Norma Simmons; his children, Mike Simmons (Marlene) of Clinton and Tina Simmons (Mike McAnelly) of Davenport; his grandchildren, Hunter Simmons and Hayden Simmons of Clinton; and his siblings, Kelly Simmons (Breda) of Clinton, Leroy Simmons (Evalee) of Clinton, Kenneth Simmons of Holt Summit and Mary Boan (Bill) of Clinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to GVMH Hospice services and can be left in care of the funeral home.
