It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle H. Johnson (Clinton, Missouri), who passed away on November 17, 2019, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Otto C. Johnson and Susie D. Lewellen; his siblings, Charles, Leo, Arlie, Rollen and Beulah; his former wives, June Crites and Henrietta Newton; his spouse Roselee Huggins; his stepdaughters, Tamara Allen, Denise Huggins and Dianna Huggins; his grandchildren, Susan Kaiser, Douglas Burke, Debra Young, Ricky Young, Robbie Young, Miquel Escalante, Marcos Escalante, Steven Heizman, Matthew Heizman, David Johnson, Emmett Johnson and Arnold Johnson; and his stepgrandchildren, Jamie Breden, Jacob Phillips, Adam Foster, Michele Griffitt, Fred Griffit and Jesse Griffit.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Merle H. Johnson Scholarship fund at the Northeast Baptist Church, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
